Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father was a schoolteacher while her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick was a talented singer and performer from the age of 6. She put on shows with puppets to entertain her friends. McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to join the show business. McCormick found her first role as an actress major in 1964. McCormick was in an advertisement for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on an additional company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon cast in The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from a field of 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to play the eldest of three towheaded girls on the new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show lasted five seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. She stated, but the time was never right for us.
